Minelab Equinox 800 Waterproof Metal Detector
Now your Multi-IQ Metal Detector Minelab Equinox 800 is equipped with the 6" DD Search Coil. With this unique coil you can make your Equinox 600 Metal Detector more sensitive to tiniest gold nuggets and also offer more versatility.
The EQUINOX 800 metal detector with Multi-IQ technology redefines multi-purpose detection for beginners and enthusiastic professionals. Adaptable to all types of terrain targets and terrain conditions, the Equinox 800 is a true metal detector.
With additional Gold Mode functionality, High Frequency 20/40 kHz, wireless audio accessories and advanced configurations, the EQUINOX 800 offers additional versatility. The EQUINOX 800 Gold mode is designed to improve yield on small gold nuggets in mineralized soils. It does this primarily by using different audio processing to targets respond to them both in volume and tone. The Gold Mode will be of interest to gold seekers but has fewer applications for other uses. More importantly, the Multi-IQ is as good at both Park 2 and Field 2, that these profiles are as good if not better at finding gold nuggets than many dedicated single frequency gold detectors. People who regularly detect gold nuggets will probably want the EQUINOX 800.
The EQUINOX 800 adds the ability to change non-ferrous tones and volumes, which can be useful for those who hunt strictly by ear. These options may also be helpful for people with extreme hearing loss in a particular audio range. The other big difference between EQUINOX 600 and EQUINOX 800 is the "Advanced Configuration" which allows a greater degree of tuning in various options. The EQUINOX 800 has eight levels for fine-tuning in the densest "nail carpet" scenarios. Low settings offer more solid hits at targets very deep, but poor separation from targets adjacent ones. High settings have a great deal of separation, but the trimmed audio responses required in the dense garbage make it more difficult to hear targets very deep.
The EQUINOX 800 has a user profile button that allows the operator to jump directly to an alternative detection mode. For example, to go from Park 1 to Beach 1 you only need four presses of the Detection Mode button to pass. You can also program an additional user profile to get there at the touch of a button. The EQUINOX 800 also has Low, Medium, High or Off backlight settings for heavy users who want to conserve energy consumption. The EQUINOX Series has automatic noise cancellation, but the 800 series also offers manual cancellation. If you hunt in areas of high electrical interference (EMI), or around many other detectors, this can be useful to find the quietest configuration with the least interference. Automatic is great and most people will never use the Manual.
Hard-working people detectorists who want the additional features of the 800 will appreciate the additional benefits and configurations offered by the machines.
